Impact Stories
When Barbara dropped out of school in 2015, she lived with the father of her two children, but life was not as she thought it would be. There was no means of raising money to help her family; she tried selling nyoi (beans mixed with corn) and obango-guvu (rice balls wrapped in yellow food colour). Barbara realised that selling the food was not giving her enough profit; her life was depressing, in 2019, she joined OMA Foundation. Today, Barbara’s life has changed; she completed her classes in tailoring and is now working as a seamstress at Mrs Susan Otto’s Shop. Barbara earns a monthly salary and can now provide the basic needs for her children and is trying to save some money for her future.

SUGGESTIONS
Fundraise for OMA Foundation and you can help transform the lives of Vulnerable Youth in Gulu, Uganda.
19,000 children die in Africa each day from poverty and disease, which are so easily preventable. To help stop this, all we need to do is give up some free time, use our initiative and raise funds.
Many events are so easily arranged, either on your own or as part of a larger group (school, youth group, workplace, etc.). An event can be as big or as small as you want.
- Coffee morning (everyone likes a cuppa and a bun!)
- Sponsored event – take part in a local marathon or see how long you can keep silent!
- Abseil down the tallest building in your town
- Table quiz, test the knowledge of your family and friends
- Football tournament
- Give up your birthday for a year and ask for donations instead of presents
- Run a dinner party and ask for donations
AdvOCACY TRIP APPLICATION
Our trips are more advocacy in nature, as opposed to mission. Do we want you to serve? YES! But this may not look like a typical mission trip of going and doing. This will be more learning and sharing. We are looking for men and women who want to partner with our ministry to advocate for the least of these.
